WELCOME TO THE FALL 2016
YA SCAVENGER HUNT!

I'm delighted to be one of the authors hosting the Fall 2016 YA Scavenger Hunt! What is the YA Scavenger Hunt? It's a biannual online event that promotes collaboration between YA authors from different publishing houses, offering fans an opportunity to see the latest and greatest in Young Adult literature. During the hunt, authors showcase exclusive bonus material, give readers access to top secret insider information, and offer fabulous prizes and giveaways for zealous YA fans.

This time around, I'm one of the authors on the PURPLE TEAM.

The Purple Team banner above shows the old cover for my YA Paranormal Mystery novel, Shade. That cover also appears on Goodreads. If you'd consider voting for Shade in the YA Scavenger Hunt Goodreads poll, that would be awesome. You can find the poll here:

LOTS OF PRIZES!!

There are lots of different ways to win prizes in the YA Scavenger Hunt!

You're allowed to participate in and enter the contests for all 6 teams if you wish or you can just pick one. (You can only enter for each team once.) To find the number from me that you need to add to your PURPLE TEAM or ALL TEAMS total, look for the number I've written in purple and hidden somewhere in the material below.

There will also be a bonus prize. The YA Scavenger Hunt organizers selected a group of authors who have participated in the hunt many times. Fans can add up their numbers as well to enter for a $50 Amazon gift card.

The rules for all the YA Scavenger Hunt prizes are explained on the YASH ENTRY page:

Some authors are also offering their own prizes in conjunction with the YA Scavenger Hunt. I'm hosting a Giveaway in which the prizes are a $25 Amazon Gift Card and a copy of my YA Paranormal Mystery novel, Shade (Kindle copy or paperback - winner's choice). You can sign up for my Giveaway here:

Book Summary for My Junior Year of Loathing (Book #2 in the School Dayz Series):

Junior year is supposed to be tough. Exams, term papers, homework, college tours, and participation in extra-curricular activities can all add up to non-stop stress. But Melinda Banner has goals to achieve and dreams to make real. This year, she’ll be unstoppable. But even over achievers need a break.

While taking a break from the stress of it all, Melinda meets Connor. After a few more run-ins, the two settle into an uneasy friendship, if you can even call it that.  But Connor's closed and mysterious. Whenever Melinda asks too many questions, he suddenly has to go or is no longer interested in talking. When they’re together, she’s torn between wanting him to open up and running away as fast as she can. Still she can't seem to shake her budding interest in him.

Connor has his own way of looking at the world, and his views often conflict with Melinda’s practical nature. Can you like someone and loathe them at the same time? Is he even worth the emotional tug on her heartstrings or distraction from all things Junior year?

And, as if she needs another project right now, Melinda starts to obsess over the abandoned estate she passes on the way to school each day. Between Connor and the old estate, Melinda's beginning to think she's taking on too much.

When her investigation reveals a possible connection between Connor and a tragedy long-since forgotten, Melinda has a choice: put off her junior year achievements to save a local landmark and a boy who constantly pushes her away or put them both out of her mind for good and focus on making the grade.
